Brooks is a Business Owner and Head Teacher at Coastal Kiddos. She graduated UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Agroecology. Brooks' focus of interest is the interconnectedness between all living things and sharing that curiosity and passion with the world to create a more sustainable future. Brooks enjoys connecting with her community by sharing meals grown in her garden. When she is not teaching or cooking, you can find her swimming in the ocean or dancing with her friends at festivals. Her favorite animal is the Killer Whale.

Sophie is a Southern California native who grew up developing a love for the outdoors and a passion for environmentalism. She has experience in paleobotany and biology and is studying Elementary Subject Matter with plans to be a teacher. She enjoys teaching kids about the ecological systems throughout North County and hopes to impart a dedication to environmental conservation in her students. Her favorite animal is the American Pika.

Rachel is from North Carolina, where she studied psychology and biology during her undergrad at UNC Chapel Hill. She has always had a passion for working with kids and has had the opportunity to do so in many different types of settings. Her love for the outdoors ignited during her two years living in Australia, where she had the chance to explore and experience all different types of landscapes and wildlife. She is a big fan of outdoor adventure and enjoys spending her free time camping, surfing, rock climbing, and skydiving. Her favorite animal is the wombat.

Lily was born and raised in Seattle, Washington amidst the forests of the Pacific Northwest. Her childhood of hiking and camping shaped her early love for this earth. She recently graduated with a degree in environmental science from Point Loma Nazarene University. Her love for the natural world is paired with an equally deep love for children. She believes that earth is our greatest teacher and desires to create a safe space for children to discover that for themselves. She loves to spend every spare moment she can in or near the ocean. Her favorite animal is a bumble bee. 

Sunny was born and raised in Upstate New York but has always been drawn towards coastal life and the ocean. She graduated from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry with a B.S. in Environmental studies concentrated in Communication and Indigenous Studies. She is a strong believer in alternative learning and strives to engage children with their non-human environment. When Sunny is not working, she loves to cook, hike, travel, and spend time with others. Her favorite animal is a Bald Eagle.
